Are You a Do-It-Yourself Accountant?

Hopefully, you had a chance to think about the information I posted last week.

If you have are doing your own business bookkeeping and you don’t have an accounting degree, perhaps you realize that you’ve bitten off more than you can chew.

Clients frequently tell us they thought they could figure out how to do their own bookkeeping.  Their goal is to keep all the money they would spend on salaries/fees.

All you have to do is install the software and follow the instructions, right?

WRONG!  We do not want you to experience the typical problems faced by business owners such as:

  • incorrect initial set up
  • improper coding of payments to vendors
  • payroll tax problems
  • mistreatment of credit card and loan payments.

If you decide to go it alone with “off the shelf” accounting software, choose your software carefully.  Questions?  Contact us and take advantage of our expertise. Let us help you decide which program best fits your business.
