Deadline Closing in Fast

Monday May 15 is the deadline for filing 2017 Louisiana Individual Income Tax returns.

Taxes can be electronic filed with The Louisiana Department of Revenue for the fastest, most error-free tax return and refund processing. Louisiana File Online is the state’s free tax filing web application which can be reached at www.revenue.louisiana.gov/fileonline.

Filing Extensions Available until May 15th

If you need more time to prepare your individual state income tax return, you must submit an extension request by May 15 to avoid late filing penalties. An extension allows more time to file a return, but it does not allow more time to pay taxes due. Payments made after May 15 are subject to penalties and interest.
